Hotel Saayba

Hotel Saayba is located out in the Akurdi Tata Steel Wire Unit area, specifically within the Kiadb Industrial Area. It is not the kind of place you stumble upon unless you are working around here. Everything in this part of town is made of steel, concrete, and big iron gates. Our building is right in the middle of all that industrial noise and the smell of metal being worked on. We get a lot of workers coming in from the Tata Steel unit and other factories nearby. They usually have grease on their clothes and need a place to sit for a few minutes before their next shift starts. The air around here is always a bit heavy with the sound of machinery in the distance. We have simple benches and the floors are easy to sweep because of all the boots walking over them. We start our day very early, usually before the first whistle blows at the plants. It can get very hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of fans that hum loudly against the wall. We don't have any decorations or anything like that. It is a practical place for practical people. We know most of our regulars by their faces, even if we don't know all their names. It is just life in the Kiadb Industrial Area for us. We keep the water cold and the tables ready for the next shift.
