Hotel Rutugandh

Hotel Rutugandh is located at 638, Deccan Gymkhana. We are right in the middle of a very lively part of the city. Being at Deccan Gymkhana means there are always people walking around and plenty of noise from the street outside. The hotel itself is a straightforward place for travelers. We have rooms for guests and a small staff that keeps things running day and night. The lobby isn't huge, but it's where we sit and check people in when they arrive. We spend a lot of time making sure the linens are clean and the rooms are ready for the next person. It’s an older building, so it has its quirks, like the occasional creaky floorboard or a tap that needs a bit of a twist to stop dripping. We don't try to be a five-star luxury spot. We are just a local hotel providing a place to sleep for travelers. Most of our guests are people visiting for work or family stuff in the city. We know the neighborhood well and can tell you where the best local snacks are nearby. The front desk is usually manned by one of us who has been here for years. We handle the bookings in a big ledger and on the computer when it’s working right. It’s a bit old-fashioned in some ways, but it’s a familiar routine for us. We just sit here and wait for the next guest to arrive.
