Hotel Rudra

Hotel Rudra is right on Chinchwad R V Desai Road 54. If you know the area, you know it gets quite loud with all the scooters and cars rushing past the front door. We get here early to start the prep work while the air is still a bit cool. The first thing is usually getting the water boiling and making sure the floors are wiped down before anyone walks in. Our place isn't very large, but we have enough space for people to sit and have a quick meal or just stay for a bit to get out of the sun. The walls have been the same color for a long time and we don't plan on changing them soon. Out on R V Desai Road, you can see the shopkeepers opening up their stalls one by one. Being at number 54 means we see a lot of the same faces every morning. We spend a lot of time checking the pantry and making sure we have enough supplies for the afternoon rush. It gets hot in the kitchen, so we usually keep the back door cracked open for some air. It’s just regular work, nothing too special about it. We serve the food, clear the plates, and try to keep the place tidy. When the sun starts to set, the street lights come on and the vibe changes. We stay open until the dinner crowd thins out and then we start the cleaning all over again for the next morning.
