Hotel Rambo

We have been running Hotel Rambo here at Warje Udhana Darwaja for a long time now. Most mornings start pretty early when the sky is still that dull grey color and the traffic hasn't fully picked up yet. We get the shutters up and start getting the kitchen ready because the stove takes a while to properly heat up. It is not a fancy place by any means, just a simple spot with some tables and chairs where people can sit down. The noise from the Darwaja outside can get quite loud with all the trucks and motorbikes zooming past, but you eventually get used to the constant hum. I usually spend most of my time checking the stock or making sure everything is where it should be. My nephew helps out with the serving when it gets busy during the lunch hour. We don’t have a big staff or anything like that, just a few of us trying to keep things moving. Sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit near the back door when the monsoon is heavy, so we just put a bucket there and carry on. People know where we are because of the sign that’s started to fade a bit over the years. Most of our regulars are just folks heading to work who want something quick. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to sweep it out twice a day. It is just a normal local business.
