Hotel Navnath

Hotel Navnath is over at Market Yard, specifically in the MIDC 1 area. It is a very active part of town with trucks moving in and out all the time. Our place is where the drivers and workers come to grab a bite or a cup of tea. It’s often dusty outside because of all the construction and transport. Inside, we have some benches and a few fans going. I spend most of my time at the counter or checking the kitchen supplies. We make a lot of poha and tea in the mornings. Lunch is usually a basic thali. We don't have a menu card, people just ask what’s ready. It’s a practical setup for a practical crowd. My brother and a couple of helpers run the whole show. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the regular drivers. It’s not the kind of place for a fancy date, just a spot to sit for twenty minutes and get some food. We keep the tea strong and the portions decent. That’s how we’ve always done it at MIDC 1. It is a lot of work and the days are long, but we stay busy. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when it is quiet in the late afternoon. There is always something happening on the road here. We just stay part of the daily grind.
