Hotel Navami

If you go to Bhosarigoan and reach the Chimnya Ganapati Chowk, you will see us right there. We have been running Hotel Navami in this spot for several years now. It is a noisy corner because of all the rickshaws and bikes passing through the chowk. The temple is close by, so we see many people coming and going after their prayers. We open the shutters early when the air is still a bit cool. Inside, the tables are basic wood and the fans hum all day long. We don't have a big menu, just the usual things like tea, poha, and maybe some rice plates in the afternoon. The walls were painted green a few years back and they have some marks now from where people lean their heads. Our staff is just a few local boys who know everyone in the neighborhood. We don't use computers for bills, just a small notebook and a pen. In the evenings, the crowd gets thicker. People stop by for a quick tea before heading home. Sometimes the tea runs out and we have to make a fresh pot while the customers wait and complain a little. The smell of spices is always hanging in the air. We don't have fancy decorations, just a few framed pictures of gods with dried garlands. It is just a regular place for regular people to sit for ten minutes.
