You’ll find us in Bavdhan, specifically the 2nd Block on 12th Main in Tanaji Patel Nagar. Since we’re right on the Mumbai Pune Road, the noise of trucks and cars is something we’ve just gotten used to. It never really stops, even late at night. The snack center is a busy place, especially for folks who are traveling and need a quick bite to eat before they get back on the highway. We keep the large pans of oil going for the snacks, so there’s always a bit of a haze in the air near the kitchen. The counters are made of stainless steel and they get quite greasy by the time we close. We have these plastic chairs outside that are a bit faded from the sun, but people don't seem to mind sitting there for a few minutes. We don't have a big staff, so we’re usually running around between the stove and the customers. The floor gets a lot of mud on it when it rains because of all the people coming in from the road. I keep a broom nearby, but it’s a losing battle most days. We serve the same things we’ve always made, and we don't bother with fancy plating. It’s just food on a plate or in a paper wrapper. The water cooler in the corner always needs a refill because of the heat. We just keep our heads down and serve whoever pulls over.
