Hotel Anand-Van-Bhuvan

Mahabaleshwar is a beautiful place, especially when the clouds come down low on Duchess Road. Our hotel, Anand-Van-Bhuvan, has been here through many rainy seasons. The building is older and has that mountain style with a lot of stone and some dampness when it pours. We don't have central heating, but we provide extra blankets if it gets chilly at night. It’s a quiet area compared to the main market, which is why some people prefer staying out here. There are trees all around, so you might hear birds or monkeys on the roof sometimes. We have a small garden area where guests can sit, though the grass gets a bit wild during the monsoon. The rooms are basic. We have old-fashioned wooden cupboards and beds that have been here for years. We don't have a big team of people in uniforms. It’s just us and a few local helpers who keep the place running. Sometimes the monkeys get into the bins, so we have to be careful about that. We don't offer fancy spa treatments or anything. People come here to walk in the hills and breathe the air. We just provide a place to come back to when your shoes are muddy. It’s a simple life up here in 412806, and we like it that way. The water takes a while to get hot in the morning, so you have to be patient.
