Heera Steel

Heera Steel is based out in Akurdi. It’s an area that has a lot of workshops and industrial stuff going on, so we fit right in. We deal with steel, as the name suggests. It’s not a clean job; your hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the day. The shop is more of a warehouse than a store. We have big sections of steel just waiting to be used for whatever project comes up. I’ve been in Akurdi for a long time and I've seen it grow from a quiet spot to a busy hub. Most of our days are spent checking measurements and talking to contractors who need materials. It’s a lot of phone calls and writing things down on scrap paper. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people need us, they just drive down to the shop. The sun can get really hot on the metal roof, making it a bit uncomfortable in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going. It’s a straightforward business. We don't try to be something we are not. Heera Steel is just a place where you get steel and go about your day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We are just local people trying to run a decent operation in a busy part of town. Come by if you are in the area.
