Heera Palace

Heera Palace is located at 979 Budhwar Peth, which is right across from the Shukrawar Peth Police Station. Being so close to the station makes it easy to give people directions. We are in a very old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and usually filled with people and rickshaws. The building has been here for a while, and it has that lived-in feel you only get with time. We handle the daily upkeep, making sure the rooms are ready and the hallways are swept. It’s a busy neighborhood, especially during the festivals when the whole of Budhwar Peth and Shukrawar Peth gets packed. You can hear the noise from the street even when the windows are shut, but that’s part of the charm of staying in the heart of the city. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the place inside and out. We see a lot of travelers and people visiting the nearby markets. It’s not a luxury hotel with a pool or anything like that, just a practical place for people to stay. We spend a lot of time talking to guests at the front or dealing with maintenance stuff like leaky taps or flickering lights. It’s honest work. We like being in this part of Pune because everything you need is just a short walk away. We just keep things running as best we can.
