Heera Laxmi Provision & General Stores

So we started this place Heera Laxmi Provision & General Stores a good while ago now over in Camp 14. It is just a regular shop where we keep the things people need every day like pulses and rice and soaps. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in here especially in the mornings when everyone is out for milk and bread but we manage. My brother helps out most days and we try to keep the shelves full so you don't have to go far. It’s not a big supermarket or anything like that. Just a small room filled with boxes and bags. We know most of the people who come in by name because they live right around the corner. If we don’t have something today we usually tell people to come back on Thursday after the truck comes. It gets dusty sometimes with the traffic outside but that is just how it is in this part of town. We keep the ledger behind the counter and write things down if someone forgot their wallet. It is nothing fancy at all. Just a lot of work and some tea in the afternoon when things quiet down. We are usually here from early until quite late. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. It’s been here at Camp 14 for years and we just keep going day by day. We have a small plastic stool if you need to wait while we weigh out the loose sugar.
