Running things here near SM Shetty School 633 in Budhwar Peth can be a real headache sometimes because of the traffic. When the school bell rings, the whole street just stops moving. We have to time our deliveries around those hours or we get stuck for thirty minutes just trying to move the van. Inside the office, it is mostly just piles of boxes and a lot of pens that never seem to work when you need them. We spend most of the day on the phone or checking the lists to see what came in. Budhwar Peth is an old area, so the walls are thick but the space is cramped. My chair has a squeak that I have been meaning to oil for three months. It gets dusty pretty fast with the window open, but we need the air. We aren't trying to do anything big, just getting the orders out to whoever called that morning. Sometimes the ledger doesn't match and we have to sit there for an hour figuring out where a single box went. It is usually just sitting behind the door. We drink a lot of tea from the stall across the road. The guy there knows we take it with very little sugar. People think distributing stuff is easy, but it is a lot of lifting and counting. We’ve been at this same address for years and don't plan on moving. It’s home.
