Heena General Stores

We are located on Majrewadi Road in the Nai Jindagi area. Our shop is pretty close to the Marhabba Function Hall, so we see a lot of people when there is a wedding or a party going on. People stop in to grab small things like soaps, snacks, or drinks before they head over. It’s a small general store, but we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. You’ll find lentils, spices, sweets, and everyday household items packed in everywhere. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to stack boxes in the aisles for a while. It’s a bit cramped, but we manage. We know most of the kids from the neighborhood who come in for a single piece of chocolate or a small bag of chips. The road outside is always busy with scooters and people walking. We keep a chair near the counter so we can sit when there aren't many customers. The fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t have any fancy computer systems here. We write things down and give change from a wooden drawer. It’s how we’ve always done it. On rainy days, people huddle under our awning to stay dry. We don’t mind. It gives us someone to talk to for a few minutes while the rain passes. It's just a regular life at a corner store on Majrewadi Road, and we like it that way.
