Wadgaon Sheri in Pune has changed a lot since I first started out here. I’m located over in Munurwar Housing Society, which is right near the post office. Having the post office so close is actually quite handy when I have to send things out, though the queues can be a nightmare on Monday mornings. My space is at S.No. 56/14, and it’s a typical Pune setup—a bit dusty because of the construction nearby and always smelling a little like the rain when the monsoon hits. I spend a lot of my time at a desk that I’ve had since I was much younger. It’s got scratches and coffee ring stains all over it, but I can't bring myself to get a new one. The society is generally quiet during the day when everyone is at work, so I can focus on my tasks without too much trouble. Sometimes the neighbor’s cat comes and sits on the windowsill for a bit. I don’t really have a big sign outside or anything like that. People who need to find me usually know where I am or they just ask around. It’s a very local way of doing things, very straightforward. I just handle my daily business, keep the files in order, and try to make sure I finish up before the traffic gets too bad in the evening.
