Harish Steel Furniture has been sitting here in Bhavani Peth in Ahmednagar for quite a while now. If you walk down our street, you’ll probably hear the sound of metal clanking or see some of us moving heavy desks around. It’s not a fancy place, just a workshop where we get things done. Most days start early because the afternoon heat gets pretty bad in the shop. We make all sorts of things like cupboards, racks, and chairs that people need for their shops or homes. It’s honest work. Sometimes the floors are covered in metal shavings and the paint smell stays on our clothes even after we go home for the day. We don’t have a big office with air conditioning. We just stay here in the thick of it. People from around Ahmednagar come by to ask if we can fix an old cabinet or make a new shelf. We try to give them something that lasts. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just know how to handle steel and we’ve been doing it long enough that it’s second nature. The address is easy to find if you know Bhavani Peth well enough. Usually, there’s a lot of traffic around, so we’re used to the noise. It’s just us working with our hands every day. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the welding is solid before anything leaves the doors. That's about it really for us. We just keep working.
