Gurunanak Mobile

Gurunanak Mobile is located right in the middle of Kharadi, which has changed a lot since we first set up here. It used to be much quieter, but now there are big offices everywhere and a lot of young people moving in for work. We see a lot of those IT guys coming in during their lunch breaks because they dropped their phone on the sidewalk or need a new pair of earphones. The shop is pretty small, but we pack it full of whatever people might need. My dad helps me out sometimes, though he mostly just likes to sit and talk to the older residents who have lived in Kharadi for decades. We have a glass display that's always a bit smudged from people leaning on it to look at the new models. It is a busy life here, and sometimes the shipments of new covers or batteries don't show up on time, which is frustrating, but we just deal with it. I do the hardware work myself on a small desk in the corner. It can get pretty cramped when three or four customers come in at once, but we make it work. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Pune, we are just a family-run place in Kharadi trying to make sure people can get their phones working again without waiting for a week or paying too much at a big mall store.
