Greengain Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are just a group of people from around Osmanabad who decided to get together and do something with the land we have. Greengain Farmer Producer Company Limited started because things were getting a bit tough for individual farmers out here. Our office is right near R P Collage, which is easy enough for most folks to find when they come into town for supplies or meetings. It is not a fancy place, just a room where we keep our papers and talk about the crops. Sometimes the fans don't work right but we manage anyway. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or talking to the other members about what to plant next season. Most of us have been farming our whole lives, so we know the soil in this part of Maharashtra pretty well. There is a lot of back and forth with the paperwork which is new for some of us. We try to keep things simple and honest. Being a producer company means we share the load and hopefully the gains too when the harvest is good. It is a slow process and some days are better than others. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Just a bunch of locals trying to make a living and help each other out with the farming business. It is a lot of work but it feels right to be doing it together.
