Gorakhsha Prakash Battries

Gorakhsha Prakash Battries is our small shop over in the Marol area of Katraj, specifically at number 5. We’ve been here for years, mostly dealing with all kinds of batteries for cars, trucks, and even those used for home backups. It’s a heavy job, constantly moving those lead blocks around and making sure they are charged up properly. The shop walls are lined with racks holding different sizes and brands. We also do a lot of testing and recharging for people who think their battery might still have some life left in it. We have a few testers and some old charging equipment that’s seen better days but still works perfectly fine. It's often just one or two of us here, surrounded by the smell of acid and metal. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more of a workshop where we get our hands dirty. When someone’s car won't start, they usually drag their battery in here for us to take a look. We tell them if it’s dead or if it just needs a good charge. We don't go in for long explanations or sales pitches. We just check the voltage, see what the problem is, and let the customer decide what they want to do. It’s a basic service that people in the area depend on. We keep a bit of water for the batteries in the corner and keep the floor swept daily.
