Gopal Provision Store

You can find Gopal Provision Store over at 1215 Kasba Peth. We are right by the Pavale Chowk area. Living and working in Kasba Peth is different from the newer parts of Pune. The buildings are older and people have lived here for generations. My family has been running this store and we just deal with the daily needs of the neighborhood. It is a small space, so things are piled up pretty high. We have everything from soap to cooking oil and packets of snacks. The morning is usually the busiest time when everyone is out buying milk or things they forgot for breakfast. I spend a lot of time just moving boxes around to find what someone asked for. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and people talking. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so things quiet down for a bit before the evening rush starts again. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. People just know we are here at the chowk. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery, which can be a bit of a hassle. It is just a simple provision store where we try to keep the basics in stock so our neighbors don't have to go too far. We have seen the kids in the lane grow up and start coming in to buy their own things now.
