Golden Watch & Radio Company is situated at 120 25 Uttam Nivas. We are located in the Sarita Prabhat Industrial Estate in Kalas, which is right near the fruit market. It’s an interesting spot because you get the industrial crowd and the market crowd all in one day. The air usually smells like fruit and diesel from the trucks passing by. Our shop is a bit different because we don't just fix watches; we still work on old radios too. There aren't many places left that will look at a transistor radio these days, but we still have the soldering irons and the old schematics. The shop is full of wires, dials, and watch straps. It’s a bit of a jumble, to be honest. We have been in Uttam Nivas for quite a while and have seen the industrial estate change around us. The work is slow and meticulous. Whether it's a watch that needs a new crystal or a radio that only makes static, we take our time with it. There’s no point in rushing and breaking a tiny component. We have a few old chairs where people can sit and wait, though most people just leave their things and come back later. It’s a practical place for practical people. We aren't trying to be anything other than a repair shop that helps the people in Kalas keep their old gadgets and timepieces working for a few more years.
