G.K. Engineering Works

If you come down to Mukund Nagar, near the Kesri Mata Mandir, you will probably hear us before you see us. We are at 356/1. It is an engineering workshop, so there is always the sound of metal being cut or machines humming in the background. It is greasy work and our hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. We have got lathes and drills and all sorts of heavy tools scattered around the shop floor. It might look messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We take on all kinds of repair jobs and custom metal parts for people. Folks from the neighborhood often bring in things that need fixing and we see what we can do for them. The temple nearby means it is an easy landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We do not have a big front desk or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and talk to whoever is not currently running a machine. We have been in this spot for a long time now. The building shows its age, but the equipment works just fine for what we do. It is just how we work. We drink our tea in the small space between the workbenches when we need a quick break. Engineering is about making things work and we stick to that every day.
