Gharkul Furniture

We have been here in Bhosari at the Sindhi Market for a good while now. Our shop is right across from the Vishwavilas Biryani House, so we get to smell that food all day which sometimes makes it hard to focus when you are working on a heavy wardrobe. Most people around here know the Panchkuva area pretty well so they find us without too much trouble. It is just a regular furniture shop where we spend our days dealing with wood and trying to get the measurements right for whatever someone needs in their house. Sometimes the market gets really crowded especially on the weekends and it can be a bit of a mess outside with all the traffic. We just keep the doors open and do what we do. The shop isn't anything fancy or shiny like those big showrooms you see in the city center but it works for us and the people who live nearby. We usually have sawdust on the floor and some half-finished chairs sitting around because there is always something being worked on. If you are walking past the biryani place you will see us there. Dealing with customers takes up most of our time and we try to just be straightforward about what we can do and how long it will take. It's a simple life here in Pune and we like being part of the local market scene where everyone knows each other's names.
