Ghanatehospital

Ghanatehospital is sitting over in J K Plaza, right opposite the Durgamata Mandir near Shivaji Chowk in Panvel. It’s a noisy spot because of all the people going to the temple and the cars at the junction. We’ve been here for a while and the building is starting to show its age a bit, but it serves its purpose for us. Inside, it’s mostly white walls and the smell of floor cleaner. We have different sections for different things, but it’s a general hospital so we see a bit of everything. On some mornings, the bells from the mandir are quite loud, which is actually quite nice to hear while we are setting things up for the day. The staff here are mostly local people who’ve worked in Panvel for years and know the area well. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big shiny lobby to impress anyone. It’s just a place where sick people come to get better. Sometimes the elevator in J K Plaza is a bit slow or breaks down, so people take the stairs. We spend our days checking charts and making sure the beds are clean and ready. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. People come in with all kinds of worries, and we just try to deal with them one by one. The plaza stays busy until late at night, so there’s always something happening outside the windows. We just stay focused on the patients and keep the place running as best as we can every single day.
