Geetanjali Super Market

Geetanjali Super Market is over in the Kothrud Market Yard at 41276. It’s a busy place especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their groceries for the day. We have aisles filled with bags of rice, pulses, and all the usual household things people need for their kitchens. The floor is made of hard stone and it gets a lot of wear and tear from all the feet walking over it. We spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and making sure the jars are lined up, though they never stay that way for long with people picking things up. The market yard is a noisy place with vendors shouting and the smell of fresh produce nearby. We have a small counter where we do the billing and it can get quite a queue during the evening rush. We know a lot of the families who live around Kothrud because they’ve been coming to us for years for their weekly supplies. The shop isn't like those huge malls you see; it’s a bit more cramped and you have to squeeze past people sometimes. We keep the doors wide open to let some air in, but it still gets quite warm when the shop is full of shoppers. There is always a lot of chatter between the staff and the customers about the prices or just the weather. We just try to keep the staples in stock.
