Geeta Store

Our store is right by the PMT bus stand in Khadki, at 72/6. It’s a very busy spot because of all the commuters coming and going at all hours. We sell a bit of everything, from snacks and drinks to basic household items that people might have forgotten to buy elsewhere. The shop is small and packed with stuff on every shelf. I spend most of my day behind the counter, ringing up small sales and helping people find what they need quickly before their bus arrives. It can get quite hectic when a large group of people gets off at once. The floor gets dirty from all the foot traffic, so I’m always sweeping. We don't have any fancy displays or marketing. It’s just a neighborhood shop that’s been here for years. I know many of the bus drivers and regular travelers by sight. Sometimes I run out of bread or milk before the day is over, and I have to wait for the next delivery. It’s a simple life, being part of the daily commute for so many people. The noise from the buses is something I’ve just gotten used to over time. It’s not a quiet place to work, but I like seeing all the different people passing through. We just try to keep the basics in stock and stay open as long as we can. It’s a decent living, and even though it gets crowded, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but here in Khadki.
