Gaytri Mobile is sitting on Kalas Alandi Road. It’s a pretty straightforward spot. The road outside is always busy with people heading towards the temple or just commuting to work. We get a lot of dust from the road because of all the construction and the buses passing by, so we’re always wiping down the displays. The shop isn't very big. We have some shelves with various phone accessories and some basic handsets. It’s mostly just one or two of us behind the counter. We spend a lot of time helping people with their SIM cards or showing them how to use a new feature on their phone. It’s a lot of repeat customers from the local neighborhood. The floor is just simple tile and we have an old ceiling fan that clicks when it’s on the highest setting. We usually keep some cold water in a bottle for anyone who comes in looking tired from the heat. There isn't any fancy lighting or big signs inside, just some fluorescent tubes that flicker sometimes. We open up early and stay open until the street lights come on. It’s a humble place to work. We don't try to be anything we’re not. We just provide a place for people to get their mobile needs sorted out without any fuss. It’s just a typical small-town shop feeling on a busy road. Even if it gets noisy, we don't really mind.
