Gayakwad General Store

Running Gayakwad General Store in Pune City takes up most of my hours during the week. I started doing this because I wanted something steady and this shop was available here in the 411002 area. It is a pretty small place and I have filled it with shelves from the floor all the way to the ceiling. You have to be a bit careful when you are walking between the aisles because I tend to stack the boxes quite high when new stock arrives. Sometimes I even forget where I put the smaller items like the matchboxes or the safety pins and have to look for them. The morning is usually the busiest time for me because everyone is rushing to get to work or school on time. They want their bread or their morning snacks and everyone is in a big hurry. Once the afternoon heat hits Pune, things quiet down and I get a bit of a break. I usually sit behind the counter and just look out at the road.
