Gaurav General Store

Our shop is at Shop No 103 in Ekta Nagar, right there on the road leading to Tingre Nagar. It’s a small space in Gali No 1, but we have been here long enough that everyone knows where to find us. Feild Ganj is a busy area and there is always something going on outside the door. I spend most of my time restocking the shelves or weighing out grains for the families who live nearby. We carry everything from cleaning supplies to snacks and tea leaves. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find anything too fancy, just the things you use every single day. The building is a bit old and the paint is peeling in some corners but it does the job. I usually have the radio playing in the background while I work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights to find things for the customers. It’s just how things are here. My son helps me out in the afternoons when he isn't busy. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone in the street. Dealing with the wholesalers can be a bit of a struggle when the prices go up, but we manage. People stop by on their way home from the market or the office. It’s a simple routine and it keeps me busy from morning till night. I like seeing the same faces every morning when the sun comes up over the road.
