Devghar

Our little shop, Devghar, is located in Navi Peth at Bhansali Tower. We are right there at Shop Number 4, which is near Ganjave Chowk and the LBS Road. If you are walking around near Hotel Janjira, you have probably passed us a few times. The shop is quite small, and we have it packed with various items, mostly things people use for their homes. It smells a bit like wood and sometimes a little bit of dust, which is normal for this part of Pune. We have these old wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, so we often have to use a stool to reach things for people. It is not a modern store with bright neon lights or a fancy glass front. We have a simple counter where we sit and wait for customers to come in from the busy street. LBS Road is always crowded with bikes and people, so there is a lot of noise that comes through the door. We know many of the regulars who live in Navi Peth and stop by while they are out for their daily errands. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It is a quiet kind of life, even with the traffic outside. We just open up in the morning, sweep the entrance, and stay until the evening lights come on. It is a simple place run by regular people who like being part of this neighborhood.
