Ganesh Steel is located over in Chinchwad, specifically at the D Wing of Shri Gajanan Ashish in Vadgaon Khurd. If you are looking for the place, it is right there among the other shops. We keep a lot of stock piled up, so it can look a bit messy inside. There are rods, sheets, and all sorts of metal bits everywhere. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly the size someone is asking for, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. It’s a busy area and the noise of the traffic outside is constant. We spend most of the morning unloading trucks and moving heavy stuff around. The floors are concrete and usually have some scuff marks from the crates. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights. It’s just a place to get steel. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next delivery to arrive. Often, we’re just chatting with the regular contractors who come by. They know us by name now. If we don’t have something in stock, we tell you straight. No point in making things up. It’s hard work, lifting and carrying all day, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the neighbors in the D wing are used to the clanking sounds by now. Ganesh Steel isn't trying to be anything other than a supply shop for the local builders and folks fixing up their homes.
