Ganesh General Store

Ganesh General Store has been a fixture at Shukrawar Peth 748 for a very long time. The shop is small and basically overflowing with goods, from dal and rice to soaps and batteries. It is one of those places where if you can't see what you need, you just have to ask because it is probably buried under something else. The street outside is always noisy with traffic and people walking by, but that is just part of being in Shukrawar Peth. We open up early and usually stay open late to make sure everyone can get what they need after work. We know most of our customers by their faces, and we have seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy their own snacks. It is a lot of work keeping the shelves stocked and the floors swept, but we don't mind it. We aren't a big supermarket with bright lights and uniform shirts. It is just us in our regular clothes, trying to keep track of everything. Sometimes we run out of things or the price of oil goes up, and we have to explain that to the regulars. We don't have any fancy promotions. People come here because we are convenient and they know we will treat them okay. It is a simple life behind the counter, and we wouldn't have it any other way because this shop is our life.
