Gandhi Hospital

Gandhi Hospital is out here in Yowat, which is in the Taluka Dond area. We are the main spot for people in the village and the nearby farms to come when they aren't feeling well. Being At Post Yowat means we are right in the center of the local community. It is a rural area, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We like it that way. The hospital is a basic structure. It doesn't have many floors or any high-tech elevators. We have what is necessary to help the people of Taluka Dond. A lot of our patients come in after working in the fields all day. We know their families and their stories. It is a very different kind of place than a city hospital. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny brand. We just have the name Gandhi Hospital on the front. People find us because they live here or because someone told them we could help. Some days are quiet and we just sit and talk with the neighbors, and other days it is very hectic with everyone coming in at once. We do our best to manage it all. It’s a humble place, but it serves its purpose for the people of Yowat. We’ve been here a long time and hope to stay for much longer to keep the community going and healthy. It’s just us doing our part.
