Gandhi General Store

Gandhi General Store is situated in Sadashiv Peth, which is a very old and well-known part of Pune. We are on the Main Road, not too far from the Ranjai Building. Being in this area means we see a lot of students and families who have lived here for generations. Our shop is like many others in the Peths—a bit small and packed to the ceiling with goods. We sell pulses, spices, oils, and all the things you need for a Marathi kitchen. We also have everyday things like soaps and shampoos. It’s a busy place and the streets around here are quite narrow, though we are on the main bit. It can be hard to find a place to park your scooter sometimes. We’ve been here a long time, so we know the local habits. Most people come in the morning or late afternoon when the sun isn't so bright. We don't have any fancy marketing. People just know we are here and that we have what they need. It’s a lot of work keeping the shelves organized because things move fast. We try to keep the prices fair and the service honest. If you are walking through Sadashiv Peth, you can’t really miss us. We are just a regular part of the neighborhood, doing our thing every day. We don't need much more than that to keep us busy and happy. The store has seen many changes on this road over the years but we stay the same.
