Friends Electronics

Friends Electronics is located right in the middle of the Millennium Textile Market here in Aundh. It’s a strange place for an electronics shop, surrounded by all these fabric and clothes wholesalers, but it works for us. The pin code is 41308 if you're looking on a map, though most locals just know the building. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start putting things out. It’s a small space, so we have to be smart about where we stack the boxes. You’ll find wires, remotes, and all sorts of little gadgets scattered around. The market gets really crowded by midday, especially on weekends. We hear the shouting of the cloth merchants and the sound of trolleys going past our door all day. It’s a noisy life but we’re used to it. People come in looking for a specific cable or a bulb, and we usually have it buried somewhere in a drawer. We don’t do much advertising; mostly it’s just people walking by after buying their clothes next door. We’ve had this spot for a long time. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but who has the time for that? We just focus on testing the equipment and making sure the lights are working. It’s a decent living and the neighbors are alright, even if they talk too much about textile prices. Sometimes we have to move a few bolts of cloth just to get to our own front door in the morning.
