We are based out in Mardwadi, which is in the Walwa Taluka of Sangli district. It is a bit different from the big city offices you see in Pune or Mumbai. Life here moves at its own pace and we like that. Forbes Marshall Ltd has this setup to stay connected with the local needs of this region. It’s a quiet area, mostly surrounded by fields and smaller houses. Our office isn’t anything fancy to look at, just a sturdy building where we keep our equipment and documents. There are days when the weather is really hot and we just keep the fans running and get on with the work. Most of the people working here are from around this area, so we know the roads and the local people well. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone trying to sell you things with big words. We just handle the technical side of the business and make sure the machinery and systems we look after are working right. Sometimes getting supplies takes a bit longer because we are further out, but we plan ahead to make sure nothing stops. It is a practical way of working. We don't spend money on expensive furniture; we’d rather have good tools and a reliable team. It feels good to be working in Sangli, contributing in our own small way without making a big scene about it. We just do the job and go home.
