Foodspice sits right along the NH 4 Mumbai Pune Highway, specifically at Survey No 494 in Shastri Nagar. If you know Kasarwadi, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and cars zooming past at all hours. Our place isn't hard to find if you're looking for it, though the noise from the highway is something we’ve just had to get used to over the years. Inside, it's a different story. We spend our time dealing with various food items and spices, making sure everything is sorted and ready. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bags and moving crates around the floor. The building itself is pretty basic, just enough to keep the rain out and the goods dry. We aren't trying to be the biggest company on the road. We just want to do our jobs right and keep things moving. Sometimes the dust from the highway gets everywhere, so we’re always cleaning up. It's just a small team of us here. We grab tea from the stall down the road when things get slow. Most of the people driving by probably don't give us a second look, but we're here every day. It's a practical location for us since getting things onto the main road is quick. We don't have any fancy brochures or a front desk. Just a gate, a warehouse, and some hard work. It's just how we run things here.
