Our office is in the Pentagon building, specifically office 501 on the 5th floor. This is part of Magarpatta City in Hadapsar, which is a pretty well-known spot in Pune. Being in the Pentagon means we have to deal with the usual IT park stuff, like badges and security guards, but once you’re inside our office, it’s a bit more relaxed. We have a few rows of desks and some fairly comfortable chairs because we spend a lot of time sitting down. The windows are large, so we get a good view of the other buildings in Magarpatta. It can feel a bit sterile compared to the older parts of town, but it’s clean and the power stays on. We have a small corner with a couple of beanbags that nobody ever actually uses because they’re too hard to get out of. Lunch usually involves going down to the food court or sitting in the small break area we have. It’s a busy place with people always rushing around in the hallways. We try to keep our space a bit more grounded. There’s always a stack of empty cardboard boxes in the corner from some equipment we ordered months ago. It’s just a regular office where we do our thing. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just a few sticky notes and some old cables scattered around.
