Exel Finishing Pvt Ltd. is located out at Wagholi, specifically at Gat No. 634. We’re right across from Wagheshwar Palace, though our place at Kothari House is a lot less regal than it sounds. It’s a functional space where we handle finishing work, which basically means we spend our days making sure things look right and are protected from the elements. Being on the Pune-Nagar Road means there’s a constant stream of traffic and dust outside our gates. Inside, we try to keep things as clean as you can in a place that does industrial coating and finishing. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes. The crew is a mix of older guys who’ve seen it all and some younger ones learning the ropes. We aren’t big on speeches or complicated plans; we just look at the schedule and get to it. Some days are better than others, like when a big job goes out without any hiccups. Other days, we’re dealing with equipment that decides to be stubborn or supplies that don’t show up on time. We usually just huddle up in the small office area to drink tea and sort things out when that happens. It’s a local business, run by local people who just want to do a decent job. We’ve been in Wagholi for a bit now, watching the area grow, but our little corner remains pretty much the same day in and day out.
