Down in Warje Malwadi at 129 4 is where we do our work. If you live around here, you’ve probably passed by our shop without thinking much of it. We mostly work on home electronics, the kind of things that people use every day like televisions or kitchen appliances. The workbench in the back is always cluttered with wires, screws, and circuit boards. It’s hard to keep it tidy when you have five different projects going on at the same time. We started out small and haven't really felt the need to expand much beyond this space. The neighborhood is friendly, and we know most of the people who come through the door. Sometimes someone just drops by to ask a question about a remote control. We don't have any fancy marketing. The name Esteem Electronics is on the board outside and that’s about it. In the afternoons, when it's slow, we sit on the chairs outside and watch the traffic go by on the main road. It gets pretty dusty, so we have to wipe down the display models every morning. We’re not a big showroom with bright lights. It’s a practical workshop where we try to fix things instead of just throwing them away. It’s a simple way to make a living. We just focus on the repairs and making sure things work the way they should for the neighbors.
