You can find Elements Kitchen at number 5 on the Gangondanahalli Main Road, just off Baner Road. It’s a busy corner of the world. We spend our days thinking about cabinets, sinks, and where the stove should go. It isn't like those fancy showrooms you see in magazines. Ours is more of a working space. We have samples of wood and stone lying around everywhere. Sometimes the sawdust gets on everything, but that's part of the job when you're planning out kitchens. We sit down with folks and draw out ideas on bits of paper. It’s a messy process sometimes. We've had this shop for a few years and the neighborhood knows us as the place with the stacks of boards out front. We don't use any of those pre-written scripts when we talk to people. We just talk about what fits and what doesn't. Sometimes we disagree on where a cupboard should go, but we usually figure it out over some tea. The traffic on the main road can be a headache, especially during the evenings, but it brings people in. We aren't a big chain or anything. It's just us trying to make sure people have a kitchen that actually works for them. We do our own measurements and keep our own notes. It’s a very hands-on kind of business and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep building things one kitchen at a time for whoever walks through the door.
