You can spot our office inside the Amit Complex, right at 474 Sadashiv Peth. If you know Pune, you know Tilak Road is always moving with people and vehicles. We are directly opposite the New E. School, which makes it easy for parents to drop in while they are picking up their kids. The complex is an older building, so it has that lived-in feel. Inside, we have a few desks piled with papers and folders. It’s a consultancy, so there is a lot of reading and checking through documents for students. Some days it is very quiet, and other days three or four families show up at the same time and we have to pull out extra chairs from the back room. We have been in Sadashiv Peth for a while now. It is a busy area, but that’s good for us because everything is close by. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a person in a suit greeting you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at a computer or talking on the phone about college admissions. The tea stall downstairs is where we get our morning chai, and sometimes we sit there to discuss work. We focus on getting the research done and helping people figure out where they want to study next. It’s practical work, and we don’t try to make it sound more complicated than it really is. It takes time to get through all the rules and regulations, but we just take it one step at a time with everyone.
