Our office is on the second floor of Mantri Alpine, at 201-C. It’s right on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway in Bavdhan. The highway is always loud, and you can hear the trucks going by all day if the window is open. Ecomak Systems is where we handle a lot of engineering and system design work. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees in glass cubicles. It is a practical space with a lot of blueprints and technical manuals stacked up in the corners. We spend a lot of time in Mulshi at different sites too. The commute can be a bit of a grind with the traffic, but that’s just how it is living here. We don't have a fancy coffee lounge or a gym for the staff. We have a small kitchen area where the kettle is almost always on. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need many meetings to know what to do next. We just get our tasks and start working on the computer. Sometimes we stay late to finish a drawing or to double-check some calculations for a project. It’s not a flashy lifestyle at all. We just focus on the systems we are building. The office gets a bit dusty because of the highway construction nearby, but we keep our desks clean enough. We are just regular people doing technical work in a busy part of Pune.
