Durgamrut Farmers Organic Agro Private Limited is situated at Survey Number 210 in Kamathewasti, which is over in the Malwadi area of Hadapsar. We’ve been operating from this spot for a bit now. It’s a busy part of town, but we try to keep our focus on the farming side of things. Most of us here come from backgrounds where working with the soil is just what you do. We don't have any fancy marketing people or a big sales team. It is just us, the local farmers, trying to get our products out there. Every day brings a new set of problems to solve, whether it’s a pump that stopped working or a delivery truck that got stuck in traffic near the city center. We spend a lot of time talking to each other about the crops and the soil. It’s a practical business. We don't use big words or try to act like we’re more than we are. We just want to provide good, honest stuff from the farms. You’ll often find us at the site in Malwadi, probably covered in a bit of dust and trying to sort out the next shipment. It’s a long day, starting early and often ending late after the sun goes down. But that is the way it goes when you’re working in agriculture. We are just doing the work here in Hadapsar because it is what we know.
