Durga Hotel

Our hotel is located in Kothrud, specifically in the Talwandi Bazar area at Survey Number 129. We are inside the Malti Complex, which is part of Ideal Colony on Paud Road. It’s a very busy street with a lot of buses and bikes going past every second. We’ve been here for some time now and seen the road change quite a bit. The shop is on the ground floor, so it’s easy for people to just walk in. We get a lot of students from the colleges around here because they need something cheap and quick. It’s a bit of a tight space when the lunch rush starts, and things can get a little loud with everyone talking at once. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that we keep running. The menu is written on a board and we change it depending on what’s available at the market. My father helps out with the accounts and I manage the guys in the kitchen. We don't really do anything special for marketing, we just keep the door open. Sometimes the Paud Road traffic makes it hard for people to park their bikes, which is a bit of a problem. But people still find a way to come in. It’s just a normal local spot where you can get a hot meal without any fuss or waiting around too much. We usually close for a few hours in the afternoon to prep for the evening crowd.
