It is a familiar landmark for anyone who lives around the Gadital area in Hadapsar. Being right on the Pune-Solapur Road means it is always noisy outside with all the heavy trucks and buses passing by. Inside the building, we just try to keep things moving along. We have the hospital part and the research side too. It involves a lot of paperwork and checking charts. Most of the staff live around Hadapsar, so we know this part of town very well. It is a practical sort of place. We don’t have marble floors or any of that fancy stuff. We just have hospital beds and medical equipment that does the job. People come in for all sorts of health reasons. Some stay for a few days and others are just here for a quick check-up. We spend a lot of our time talking to families in the hallways about their relatives. The lift is a bit slow on busy days, so most of us just take the stairs to save time. It keeps us moving.
