Dovlins Pool Club & Cafe

Our place is on Canal Road in Viman Nagar, number 39331. It’s a spot where you can play a bit of pool and grab a coffee or a snack. We have a few tables set up in the middle of the room. The felt on the tables needs a lot of brushing to keep it smooth, which is something I do every morning before we open. Viman Nagar is a pretty young area with lots of students and folks working in IT nearby. They usually come in late in the afternoon when they’re done with their classes or shifts. The sound of the pool balls clacking is the main background noise here. It’s a casual place. We don't have a dress code or anything like that. People just show up in their slippers sometimes. The cafe part is simple—just a machine and some basic snacks we can put together quickly. Sometimes the cues get broken and we have to fix them, or someone spills a drink near the table, which is always a headache. We try to keep the music at a level where people can still talk. It’s not a loud club; it’s more of a hangout. The windows look out onto the canal road, which gets pretty busy with bikes. We stay open late because that’s when most people want to play. It’s a good community of regulars who know each other’s games.
