Dilip Super Market

Dilip Super Market is found at Pradhikaran 5th Cross, 13th Main, Indira Nagar. It’s a decent-sized shop for this neighborhood. We try to keep the shelves full of all the daily essentials like cooking oil, flour, and snacks. The 13th Main road is usually quite busy with people going to work or coming home. Inside, we have rows of shelves that are mostly organized by what kind of things they hold. The floor is white tile and we try to keep it clean, though it’s hard when it rains outside. We have a billing counter near the entrance with a small computer. Most of the time, it’s just us moving things around to make space for new stock. People from Indira Nagar come in throughout the day, usually for things they forgot to buy earlier. The lighting is bright so everyone can see what they are looking for. We have a small fridge in the corner for milk and cold drinks. It hums a bit loudly, but you get used to it. The 5th Cross is a nice spot because it’s easy for people to find us. We don’t really do any big promotions or anything. People just know we are here and they come in for what they need. It’s a steady kind of place to work. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors who stop by for their bread. Sometimes the boxes from the distributors get piled up near the back door until we have time to sort them. It’s a lot of small tasks that keep us busy.
