Digambara Engineers

Our workshop is located in Ramdas Nagar, which is part of Chikhali village. We are right near the Vrudhashram Road. It’s a bit of a trek from the city, but we like having the space to work. The shop is where we do all our engineering and fabrication. It’s a simple building with a lot of heavy tools and metal scraps lying around. You can usually hear the sound of someone working before you even see the place. We don't have a fancy office or air conditioning; we just open the big doors and let the breeze in. It gets dusty, and our hands are usually covered in grease or soot by lunchtime. We are just a small group of guys who like building things and fixing mechanical problems. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain English and a lot of practical thinking. We spend our days welding, cutting, and assembling parts. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, and we end up staying late under the shop lights. The village is quiet, so we try not to make too much noise in the evenings. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how to get the next project done right. It’s basic, honest work and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We just focus on the machines and the metal, making sure everything is solid.
