Dhun Mobile

Dhun Mobile is tucked away in Bhusari Colony on Paud Road. It’s a spot where we deal with everything related to mobile phones. Most of our day is spent behind a glass counter, showing off different screen guards or explaining why a certain charger is better than another. Paud Road is a main artery, so there is a constant flow of traffic outside our door. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the shop, so we are always wiping down the displays. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a smartphone. We’ve had this shop in Bhusari Colony for a while and we like the rhythm of the neighborhood. People come in with broken screens or phones that won't charge, and we do what we can to get them working again. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. We don't have any corporate training or scripted lines. We just talk to people like normal human beings. The shop is small and practical, with shelves reaching up to the ceiling to hold all the spare parts. We stay open late most nights because that is when people usually have time to stop by after their own work. It’s just a regular local business trying to do things right in our own little corner of the city.
