Dhiraj Electricals

Dhiraj Electricals is located over in Bhosarigoan Erandwane. The shop is full of boxes stacked up to the ceiling. You can find almost any kind of wire or switch if you look long enough through the piles. It is a bit of a maze back there. I spend most of my time behind the main counter testing bulbs or cutting lengths of wire for customers. It gets quite dusty because of all the construction happening nearby. People from the neighborhood come in when a fan stops working or they need a new plug point installed. We don't have any fancy displays. Everything is kept in its original cardboard box. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right fuse or a specific type of LED because things get moved around. The light in here is a bit harsh because we have so many different tubes and bulbs turned on at once to show people how they look. There is always a heavy roll of black cable sitting near the entrance that everyone has to step over. It is just the way the shop is organized. We stay busy with the local contractors and homeowners who just want to get their lights back on. It is honest work and the days go by pretty fast when there are repairs to do. I have worked with these tools for years and know which ones work and which ones do not.
